Children's Activities

At MCHS, we believe it’s important for our youth to be exposed to new opportunities and experiences. Each child possesses many talents and gifts that we aim to nurture, giving each child a chance to shine. We offer a variety of clubs and activities year-round for our children to participate in. Whether it’s learning how to play chess, sharing their creative side through art or showing off their athleticism on the MCHS Hawks basketball team; we continue to offer well-rounded and diverse activities for the youth in our residential program. We also offer plenty of experiences off campus for our children. Our children have participated annually in seasonally themed parties, attended Detroit Pistons and Lions games, visited Michigan’s Adventure, attend city carnivals and fairs, and so much more! We know that keeping our children active is healthy for the mind, body and soul. Our recreational activities, both on and off campus, are made possible through the generosity of our volunteers, donors and community partners!

If you’re interested in getting involved with our youth through enrichment activities, contact Director of Children’s Services Carissa St. Laurent, at (313) 683-9576.
