We’re committed to empowering young people to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Residential Care

Proving wraparound services for the children and youth in our care.

More than simply providing a place for our youth to live—we offer residential treatment with a holistic, wraparound approach that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of the children and youth in our care.

Residential Care is where MCHS began, and it remains the initial and primary focus of residential treatment. Beyond offering a home for children in foster care, we are a trauma-informed residential treatment program providing a variety of healing and restorative practices to support both children and their families.

We prioritize aftercare by helping children transition into and adjust to their new family placements. Through our Family Transition Program, we provide resources and advocacy to support a successful first year with their new families.

In addition to our private charter school, Fostering Leadership Academy, our children attend nearby public schools, with on-site support and customized educational plans. Older students also benefit from virtual learning and partnerships with local schools to earn high school credits, supporting their path to a diploma or GED.

The health and well-being of our children is our top priority. We have a full-time nurse to handle health needs like immunizations and allergies, along with a cook who prepares healthy, balanced meals. A pediatrician and psychiatrist also visit regularly to ensure continuous care.

We’re committed to providing our youth with a variety of opportunities to grow and explore. From clubs and sports to the arts, we nurture each child’s unique talents. Our program also includes exciting off-campus adventures, like attending sports games and visiting Michigan’s Adventure, all made possible by the support of our community.

Clinical & Case Management

In addition to services that meet our residents’ daily needs, we also provide personalized clinical and case-management support for each young person in our care, ensuring they receive the services and guidance needed for their individual growth. Our team works closely with each child to develop a tailored plan that addresses their mental, emotional, and social needs.

Bring a smile to the face of a young person.
